My artwork is related to my enduring childhood memory of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. My family went there often on outings before I turned eleven. Together we shared many joyful moments with food and laughter. My lasting impressions of the garden are the big fountain, greenery, and of course the beautiful flowers.
I visited the garden recently which made me recall the flowers there. A collection of photographs I took within the beautiful garden are presented through layering into paintings. I enjoy painting these flowers and leaves from the garden in a peaceful way.
In this project, a set of white flower paintings expresses a tranquil purity of feeling, while being exhibited in an elegant and beautiful manner.
I wish to enable viewers to travel around the garden visually through my artworks.
